"Colourful and richly textured thick paint characterises my paintings; I like to see paint, the shear self indulgence of a loaded brush applied to canvas. I'm primarily a landscape painter but it's not uncommon to find seascapes, still lifes and drawings amongst my work as I find each is expressive in it's own way." The photo was taken on the day of a near total eclipse of the sun which happened a few years ago. The Second photo was taken by my brother on a short trip out to the English Lake District, I think that's Lake Ulswater behind me. The wider shot shows quite a few sailing boats on the lake which I have a mind to do a painting of.
